June 2011 Meeting

Dear Members and Friends,
While our Meeting serves as Members' encouragement and fellowship, its first and foremost aim is to provide a place to lead people to Jesus, who don’t know Him as Lord, Saviour and Friend. The talk is not about doctrine, but about real life experience.
Our Guest Speaker June is Wilma Thomson, wife of Alan.

An  orphaned  Dutch  teenager  learns  to  love  the  lost

Wilma lost both her parents as a young adult. Brought up in Holland as the youngest of six children, she battled an eating disorder for many years. During those years Wilma ‘lost her way’ in Australia and South Africa looking for a purpose and love.
In South Africa she finally surrendered to Jesus. The Lord called her back to Australia, where she met her husband Alan. Through a period of problems and struggles she realized of dependence on her Lord rather than self-sufficiency. In the midst of these there was the miracle of two sons and God’s healing from Bulimia. Through the fires came a compassion for those ‘who do not have their lives all together’.
In mid 2010 Wilma set out with her husband to minister the Gospel, food and clothing to the Aborigines in Alice Springs. Upon their return they commenced an outreach ministry in the Toongabbie/ Seven Hills area.
Wilma ministers to the women in the housing estate. Food, clothing and furniture are also distributed. The area is under heavy spiritual oppression. Alan & Wilma are preaching the Gospel accompanied with signs and wonders.
It will be inspiring to hear Wilma’s interesting life, how Jesus worked in and through her.
Come and bring wives or partners, relatives, friends, and who don’t know Jesus as Lord, Saviour and Friend, whose future in eternity is a concern for you, those who are sick and/or who have any difficulty coping with the problems/stresses of life, and listen to this interesting life story and receive a blessing.
After the talk there will be an offer of confidential counselling and prayer for any need..
