May 2014 Meeting

Our Guest Speaker in May is Ron McLay.

RESCUED  FROM  THE  CESS  PIT  AND  CHANGED  INTO  AN  EVANGELIST

Ron was born in Scotland to a Muslim father from Kashmir and a violent alcoholic Protestant Scottish mother and placed in and orphanage at birth. He was adopted by a God fearing Pentecostal couple, who emigrated to Australia. As a young boy Ron suffered racial and sexual abuse.

At age 14 Ron accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, but later abandoned his faith and turned to alcohol and drugs, also drug dealing and witchcraft. Jesus saved his life in a car accident at 185 km speed, a motorbike accident, twice from drowning, from drug overdoses and other dangers, including a suicide attempt.

In a detox centre Ron had a miraculous encounter with God and was instantly freed from alcoholism. Then God guided him to Set Free International Ministries. Since then he serves God with Pastor Gary on his missionary trips in many countries, here visiting those in prison because of drug or alcohol offences. He shared his faith on BBC Radio in London, Channel 9 and SBS Radio in Sydney.

Be encouraged, if God performed this change in Ron, He will do it in anyone prepared to accept Him.

Come and bring wives or partners, relatives, friends, and who don't know Jesus as Lord, Saviour and Friend, whose future in eternity is a concern for you, those who are sick, those who want a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit and/or who have any difficulty coping with the problems/stresses of life, and listen to my unusual life story and receive a blessing.
